EQUIVALENCY:MPO’s Food Handler training program has now been recognized as equivalent by the Ontario Ministry of Health, which means that certifications awarded through our in-class and online food handler training program will be accepted by all 34 public health units across Ontario for individuals working in a meat processing facility that also have onsite food premises.

Supervisor and Worker Exams available to write online in English, French and Simplified Chinese.
The Examination is based on the manual Food Handler Training for the food processing industry developed by the Meat & Poultry Ontario (MPO). There are two levels of Examination: Worker Level or Supervisor Level.

WHY SHOULD I TAKE THIS EXAMINATION?
Every food handler plays a critical role in food safety. Successfully completing this Examination provides assurance to employers, inspection authorities and customers that you understand your food safety responsibilities and how to control food safety hazards.
